Canonical: Under the protection of the Presiding Bishop of the Independent Catholic Christian Church.

Ecumenical: Open to Christians, both lay and ordained, from other jurisdictions.

We are an ecumenical and non-residential religious order, making religious life and Augustinian spirituality open to all. All are welcome to share their gifts and lives with us regardless of sexual orientation, marital status, or political affiliation.

We have members who are Roman Catholic and others who are not. We are affiliated with the Independent Catholic Christian Church though one does not have to be Independent Catholic to be a member of the AIHM since the order is ecumenical.
