They barely fixed it after a week of waiting for it to come back. The screen still snaps when I move the screen. It's a little better, but it's not fixed. Now I have to go to the Apple Store for the FOURTH time to have them look at it and tell me the same thing is wrong.

So the first time I needed to go to the Apple Store, I made an appointment the day before, as they ask you to do. When I got to the store, they told me that all of their technicians were busy and proceeded to schedule me for an appointment the next day. Now, I live 35-45 minutes away [depending on traffic] from the nearest Apple Store, so I spent over an hour in transit for 3 minutes inside the store.

The second time I went I got there and talked to the technician guy. All he said was that he had to send it in because I would get it back faster. Also, since I installed 3rd party RAM and HDD, he suggested that I put in the original RAM and HDD back in. This was completely understandable. I had no problem with this.

The third time I went there I again talked to the technician. I also had previously reinstalled the old RAM and HDD. He essentially said the same thing as the guy before. I then gave him the computer to send to the repair place. Again, this was completely understandable.

Now, as you can see in the video, the screen is still l making a "snap" noise when I move the screen. To be fair, it doesn't snap as much as it used to, but it's still not fixed. I spent over 3.5 hours in transit, didn't have my computer for about a week, and I'm still stuck with the same problem. So I'm just going to live with it until it starts getting bad again, which hopefully doesn't happen.

Hopefully this won't ever happen again.

UPDATE: All is fixed and fine now. =D

  • @TearsOfWar1 Congrats on posting 2 negative comments on my comment, and ill be glad to post a video of any shitty PC with a broken hinge, but...I'd prefer to die than make a video about a PC on my channel.

  • @TheMacAppleMac Show a video with a fucked up hinge from PC.

  • @TheMacAppleMac NEVER had a problem with my custom built PC... So... Yeah, you're fucking wrong. had it for 4 years btw.

  • @TearsOfWar1 Wouldn't be any better at all with a PC.

  • you broke the snap sound again :D

  • My 17" MacBook Pro that about 1.5 years old hit the ground from a short distance yesterday. Now it makes a small snap noise right as it shuts. You can tell the lid is vaguely vaguely misaligned. Not sure its worth fixing. Still a fantastic laptop.

  • wow bastards you pay that much money for that to happen then send it out and get it back and still not fixed holy shit I would bitch at them so much

  • when i grow up i am gonna be so a technology geek like him

  • Thats what happens when you buy a Mac.

  • Macs suck, my sister's MacBook pro is nice but when you close it and push the screen down it littlerly dents
