your child did not swallow a beetle do not worry, the reason they do not know what kind of beetle it was, is because it only left behind larvae in ONE batch (but the beetle was not in there when they found the larvae), and that batch was found in a small facility and that facility has been shut down.

WOW!!! Seriously NO health hazard!!! that is total B.S. and if Similac watched the news and was more educated they would see that any time of bug in food DOES pose hazard! Especially to children their digestive system is not as strong as an adults system would be. This call was so disturbing on the reps part! We were just going to switch formulas (we are using similac sensitive soy at the moment) because they are sooo expesive. You would think you're getting the best possible formula for that price! Not something that would get re-called. You have to wonder were they store this stuff before packaging. And if beetles can get in, I'm sure mice and other things can too! Scary!!!

@flowertanovic I agree! My friend has previously switched to the comparable Target brand formula and said that she had no problems with the switch and it is half the price! good luck girl!!
