i wish i could tvo every reading rainbow episode ever. i decided to homeschool my (8y/o) son this year (the school system sucks). and i remember loving these shows when i was a kid. its hard to find videos that show our kids anything usefull to learn besides how to not bully or do drugs.. reading rainbow rocks!
This is pretty darn educational. I love it. At some point, kids have to learn other things besides self-esteem and diversity. There's work to be done in the world, and talking about how much self esteem you have isn't going to get a darn package delivered. And I felt this short glimpse of the actual process of how work is done did tons more for the cause of diversity than never-ending classroom lectures on diversity's importance ever will. Levar Burton is the man.
