Steve-O Rescues Phoenix for Invisible Children

April 25th, 2009, over 750 Phoenix men and women came together at Tempe Town Lakes Beach Park and abducted themselves to make a statement about the child soldiers in Northern Uganda. In order for it to be considered a successful rescue, two things had to occur: one, gain media coverage of the event, and two have a mogul (someone of importance in society) declare they would fight alongside Invisible Children and help rescue these abducted children. At the time of our abduction, Channel 12 News was filming and watched us march to the LRA (Lord's Resistance Army) Camp site where we were holding ourselves hostage. At 8:30 pm, Steve-O from MTV's Jackass and recently seen on Dancing with the Stars showed up and rescued Phoenix. Here's what he had to say:
