Cowboy bebop send me here , and I'm glad

In the mid 90s a band called the Morphine became indie popular.
The main singer/write, Mark Sandman wrote a piece that begins similar to this and uses a similar use of base and similar melody.
This must have been an influence.
If your curious, the some I am referring to if My Sexy Valentine.
Both are incredible.
A tear for the departed musicians.

@naquagesicnoon why were you watching Glee in the first place.....

@Georged811 I'm not sure if it's currently available but I'm fairly sure I used to have this version on a Vogue 7" EP called "The Gerry Mulligan Quartet'" That certainly sounds like Mulligan on baritone sax. That line-up were unusual at the time (early 50s) for a quartet as they didn't have a piano.

Does anyone know which album this is on? It doesn't sound like the West Coast Live with Getz from the '50s.
Beautiful.
Regina Spektor sent me here ;)
