I was carrying a trash bag out of the garage when something tickled my neck. I swiped at it and kept walking. Then I felt it again so I hit it harder it fell. IT WAS A BLACK WIDOW! I about pissed(:

I got a "mild" black widow bite a few days ago on my leg. Horrible pulsating pain throughout the leg muscles but not as bad as the first time I got a BW bite a few years ago. The entire next day was like I was drunk.

Are you certain that it was a black widow? Did you find the spider? While I understand that some reactions can be worse than others, a black widow bite has similar effects to cyanide. People I've talked to said it entirely re-calibrated their understanding of what pain is. Some have had horrendous nightmares for years after. As a neurotoxin, black widow venom doesn't usually have localized effects, but rather, begins by causing respiratory difficulty, than full body muscle spasms.
