Instead of going to the Keukenhof Bulbfields, we went to North Holland. To Hoorn. There we took a ride on an old steam tram (thats what they called it). It travels up through bulbfields and other bits and bobs to Medemblik. Unfortunately, the flowers bloomed 3 weeks early this year and a lot of the tulips had been harvested. You can see the bulbs of the second growing coming through, but a lot of the fields were bare. From there you catch an old passenger ferry around the coast to Enkhuisen. From there you catch a regular train back to Hoorn, and hope your car is still there. (Only Joking).
