There is NO educational purpose of SL, I visited like all places (it takes about 2 weeks DOOH) and i can easily say : Go back to REALITY and REAL LIFE even if it's hard. Stop wasting your time,! If we were talking about World of Warcraft, Lineage, I would have understood a point of view, because that are indeed games, even if i haven't tried them. But Second life is a joke to the world of games, as Twilight is a joke to vampire movies. Please..

I didn't like the Titanic either but I would love to see a proper, well made virtual online reconstruction of that ship.

What I get out of Second Life is the building engine. I like building and scripting stuff. It's kinda like playing with legos when you were a kid. You use your imagination to build anything your mind can come up with. To me, THAT is the addicting part.
