thank you for your input :) well written. conditioning is exactly what we meant here.

Hello Kate, nice aerial work! :) I do silks & trapeze, too :) for hoops you can still do conditioning as you do with other circus skills & this is a taster of conditioning training for hoopers to improve agility, speed, core strength etc.

  • Other options would be to do a full workout using hula hoops, weighted hoops etc, however I am not an expect at Hula Hoops so I would not be able to demonstrate such techniques.

  • It's just like any sport who comes for a conditioning type circuit, you can make exercises roughly sport specific, but it doesn't necessarily have to involve the equipment you use for that sport. It ust a session to help improve strength and stability of different parts of the body, which in turn will improve your performance in your chosen sport.

  • It's just a snippet of the type of conditioning exercises you can do. It's difficult to be hula hoop specific when designing a workout , because hula hoops you are for the best part just standing and rotating at the hips. However, you still need a strong core, hence the exercises demonstrated to help promote a stronger core. Speed and agilty are always useful, to improve direction change, quickness etc. These are just a handful of conditioning exercises one can do to help core etc.

  • errr....how did that have anything to do with hula hoops?
