  • Touche. Well that's cool, thanks for the comparison. I'm looking for a Rogue; more directly, sounds from the Rogue. Would you be interested in making some lead samples for me in 24bit? Triangle Square types mainly. If so we could arrange a deal or trade samples off of my voyager.

  • Sorry, but I sold my Rogue about a year ago.

  • Your not making any adjustments on your Rogue or Phatty. How are you able to sync them up without touching the interfaces? Are you sure your not using the MIDI on both synths to control a VST? What are you doing off screen?

  • The adjustments were made when the camera was turned off. It actually took me quite a long time to come up with sounds that were as close as I could get them on the two instruments.

The Rogue does not have MIDI. The audio track is authentic, as presented.

  • Wizard whats your opinion of the Little P Vs Voyager? thx

  • I have played Voyagers in stores several times and thought that I would absolutely love to have one. But $3,000+ for a monophonic analog synth was always just too much coin for me, and the Little Phatty can make all of the screamin' lead sounds that I want anyway.

  • the Rogue is the dirty badass :D I prefer him! LP sounds cool and looks awesome, but his sounds are cleaner than a Rogue sound!

  • Do not speak against his mightiness !lol :P

  • How comes all the rogue demo's i hear sound like it has a flanger or something on it, whenever a note is released? Is that just its natural sound?

Its like a metallic slight ringing or echo or something. I'd say its just my comp, but I seem to notice it only on everybody's rogue demo's on here

  • funny story, but i do believe i have the very same eurorack mixer as you!

  • The phatty definitely has more low-end, but it sounds so muffled in the highs/mids. The Rogue has warmer/grittier mids and highs. Is there any way to get more bit out of the highs/mids on the phatty? Perhaps changing the pole number?

  • i kinda like the cleaner sound of the LP. the rougue sounds a bit thinner too to me for some reason, like the LP has better bottom end in its sounds, it sounds fuller to my ears.

  • LP is cleaner, ROGUE more dirty and nicer. They should make re issues, they would make more money i think.

  • @TheRealistCanuck i think he means that the synths are atleast moving away from digital and trying to either be analog or emulate analog- after years of crap from the 90s on finally people are returning to the classic 70s stuff- like dave smith moog etc- but i doubt they match the original as the parts are obselete(filters caps) etc -!

  • @maccagrabme I closed my eyes before I read your post and he's right. But hey, love them both.

  • No doubt the vintage moog sounds much much better. I have a Prodigy and bought a Phatty so I can have a modern moog on stage (ie. with midi, presets etc). It could be a great option if the Phatty was not so unreliable... I have issues with it's grounding (it acts weird when connected to various electric outlets in various places - i.e the leds start to roll by themselves and it freezes). Moog tech support blame my house ground wiring and says it because I have a ground look in my studio :/

  • @maccagrabme Can you tell the difference between shades of red? Does all colour reds have the same emmotional impact on you when you view them? Before you put an instrument in a track you play it and explore the sound, the rogue sounds more able to connect and grab to me than the LP and this will offer a better and more exciting exploration in melody / riff development.

  • @cprostudio Oh come on, there is virtually no difference in sound at all between them. With eyes closed I bet you couldn't tell if they were in a track. Not only that but the midi and reliability factors far outway any miniscule advantage the original may or may not have.
