With all due respect, take into account that she writes music that is perfect and seemingly simplistic--more like seamless--and that's why you perceive her as talentless. What she's does musically & lyrically is immensely difficult and her music is so ridiculously original you could never find a Vashti again.

Her voice isn't weak, it's just delicate. She doesn't have a typical pop voice and doesn't sing with tremendous power. Her voice functions more as another instrument, rather than the focal point of a song.
