(English: It's hard to hold him back now. In such lovely weather its best to run around in the open air. When his foster father hurries up, he happily follows. He is getting stronger after all

How could something like this be so difficult for him? Feeding is one of his easiest exercises. He savours the meat/milk mixture. And his when there are constantly refills, the cute little bear is delighted

And after eating, it's time to hang out. Knut now has his own hammock. Foster-dad Dörflein gave it to him.
He is happy to find the view out of his tree house. The first real estate. But even better is his fight with sand

These scenes regularly end, how else but with a bath. And here Knut tries having a look underwater more often. Knut the water rat. From diver to fighter. He has a new playroom and here he can measure himself against a grizzly bear

It is just a teddy but it is good for biting. There are slso new (live) playmates too. The uncles are the foster-dad's colleagues and the room is their lounge. A kindergarten in a class of its own. One child, two minders. He likes exploring the most. Always looking for newspapers)

A polor bear in the press. Papers are not just there to read. After all that playing around, out of the blue, his uncles see Knut fast asleep. Playing sure is exhausting, even for a polar bear)

  • It's good humans can raise animals that otherwise wouldn't have had a chance. And it shows that we're not so different as animals and all animals should be respected for living beings and not as products of trade.

  • Rest in Peace Knut! MISS YA!

  • @yesibeleza well, his mom abandoned him on a rock and left him to die, so under the circumstances I think it's okay that they took him in and saved his life. obviously it's horrible that humans destroy their habitats and there should certainly be a limit to keeping animals in captivity, but in some cases, endangered species have only been saved from extinction by captivity/captive breeding.

  • Love it how it squeels when its getting lifted into the tub for a a bath. He's all like "nuuuuu!! Lemme guu!!" D8

  • it's very sad that humans destroy animal's habitats and then keep them in captivity...evey animal has the right to live in the wild where they belong. We humans should stop thinking the world is just ours.
