This is a great song, which is describes a life of M&Ps. Love was not a word. It was a felling. Even the words "We laughed and we cried we loved our music", it's really a life of M&Ps. A lyrical and second polite "Creeque alley". The song was recorded during the summer of 1972 at Londons Trident Studios and was produced by Lewis Merenstein and arranged and conducted by Larry Fallon and Del Newman. That so many talents in their prime help Mama Cass deliver on each song, the sweeping chorus of "Love Was Not a Word". Beautiful piano arranges, that Dave McRae did put so much different colors to the song. Hope you enjoy that beautiful gem, Cass did in 70s. She left a piece of gold for us. These two months in studio left a big and greatly appreciated songs.
Hope you enjoy that,

  • Bravo, Mr. Christopher! So sad and happy at the same time to hear Cass singing this gospel song. Thank goodness she did not give up trying. I hope her daughter and sister see this fine and loving tribute from you to her. That album is a masterpiece..

  • christopher60s Cheers for these brilliant Cass uploads. Her voice never fails to make me smile. Her last 2 solo albums were truly amazing as they gave her the chance to just sing from the heart.

  • @wonderfan It's on "The Road is No Place for a Lady."

  • GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @taddyd1 "Bore" like Karen Carpenter?! She and Cass are my two favorite singers (and I will punch in the face whoever tells that stupid sandwich joke).

  • Great song

  • @LYNXVAL her daughter is 42

  • This is just an awful song, too bad Cass' last days were spent recording this kind of schlock which which sounds like something suited more for a bore like Karen Carpenter. These are some of the most cringe worth lyrics I have ever heard.

  • WONDERFUL!!! Love this song.. Wish more people know it! Brilliant and dear Cass!

God bless you werever you are now!

  • I never heard this one!! What record can this one be found on?
