I made this video to inform people about triops and to show the progress on my own growing experince. This video shows my triops from day one when i first hydrated the eggs. It really is very easy to grow your own especially if you watch my video. Triops have been around for around 220 million years. they are prehistoric creatchers that you can grow at your own home at a ssmall cost and are very easy to take care of.

I will be making update videos once every week to show how my triops are doing.

  • Can you do a video on sea monkeys???:) Great video! I just got some today and I used purified water but after I added the eggs in the water I realized on the carton it said something about fluoride added. I don't know if this will harm them or not.. I guess I will see in a few days.

They probably wont hatch because of the Flouride. But thats no problem. If they dont hatch get some more eggs and hatch them in some spring water.

  • I raised Triops three years ago, successfully. I even had to get a larger tank because nearly all of the eggs hatched. Now I have some more and they are starting to hatch. I have confirmed that three have hatched. There are some eggs still floating in the water. Can they hatch while floating on the surface?

  • @AstronomyGuru84 They can but if the water level drops they may get stuck to the side of the container. So you might have to keep topping it off to keep them submerged if they get stuck to the sides.

  • @JDR3191 Thanks. I have six and they are still hatching.

Good job, when they get big enough feed them ghost and brain shrimp, some say it helps them to get even bigger.

I dont know what you mean, but if its store bought then yes it will work. any kind of pre purified water that you will find at a store will most likely work. but I find that store bought spring water is the best.

  • @JDR3191 can i use real Canadian natural spring water?

  • @2011HADRIAN

They come with food. If you need more food you can feed them fish food.

  • where can i get more food for them?
