3. The remnant prasadam (literally meaning mercy) is offered to Srila Gurudev.

After it is offered to the Guru all the devotees honor the sanctified and transcendental prasadam. Gauranga, Radha, and Krishna have infused the food with Their own moods of love.

Then bonafide spiritual master infuses it further with the love he holds in his heart for THEM, and the devotional service mood he has.

Prasadam is non different from Krishna Himself. It is transcendentalized. Therefore when we take prasadam with love and faith, it has the power give Krishna Prema. The glories of prasadam are endless. When honored with faith, it cures all diseases of the body, mind and spirit. It is the mercy of God in the form of food. Krishna can eat with His eyes and leave the prasadam in tact for us to take. But there have been many recorded instances where, there was so much love in the offering, that Krishna personally came and ate the offering!
