SexArt - The Legacy (1991-1993) (feat. Korn, Adema, Orgy, Juice and more)

The clip is a tribute to Brian Armer, Ray Solis, and the true founders of nu metal Sex Art, Bakersfield, CA (1991-1993). This video was previously amended (more like downgraded) to avoid copyright infringement.

SEX ART:

This band formed in the summer of 1991.
Shortly lived being over by late spring of 1993.
But their was a huge impact coming from this group of 5 guys.
Press has remarked as SEX ART being a "Super Group", and here's why.

Each member of SEX ART have moved onto greatness in this world of music.
Starting with Jonathan Davis: (Sex Art vocalist)
Jonathan went on to sing for KORN.
Clearing well over 20 million sales world wide.

Next we have Ryan Shuck: (Sex Art guitarist)
Ryan went on to play with platinum selling band ORGY.
This band was signed with Elementree Records.
Elementree Records was founded by Jonathan Davis.
Also Ryan is connected to multi-platinum sales in conjunction with KORN for his song writing.
Ryan is presently the singer for Long Beach based band, JULIEN-K.

Next we have Dave DeRoo: (Sex Art bassist)
Dave went on to breaking a million sales world wide playing for ADEMA.

Next we have Dennis Shinn p.k.a MENACE (Sex Art drummer)
Menace went on to sing for LA based band THE DRUG.
Dennis Shinn / Menace is also connected to multi-platinum sales for his song writing for KORN.

Next we have Ray Solis: (Sex Art guitarist)
Ray went on to underground buzz bands such as SUPER MODEL, & JUICE.

Next we have a non-Sex Art Member, but a very special guest.
Ty Elam: (singer for both CRADLE OF THORNS & VIDEODRONE)
Ty Elam guest appeared on Sex Art's 1st song ever released titled "INSIDE".
Then to hit the stage multiple times singing along side of Sex Art.
Later to be signed with Elementree Records by Jonathan Davis.
VIDEODRONE was the band name.

yes and that was the point, since there's no Sexart footage, I just went for something that could look close to the real thing and counted on the viewers to use their imagination for the rest.

I'm pretty sure most people know these are early deftones vids, so don't worry

For more information David DeRoo only joined into Adema's band simply because Adema couldn't find another member to fill in for the bassist they previously lost. Because of Jonathan Davis's relationship as a Brother-in-law, or step brother (I forget which), Jonathan hooked him up with DeRoo just so he could get his band going. Jonathan even promoted Adema (I forget how) thus Adema was born. :)
