There's a lot of Bill Robinson influence in that reprise dance.

Some say the success of the team of Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire was due to their mystical chemistry. I would agree and…to that add their dedication, work-ethic, discipline. Yet beyond all that they seem to have a comfortability and acceptance of each other as the people and professionals they were in everyday life.

not that I thought those films were better (they're not) but liberal use of the FF button makes them more fun to sit through than some of the others. I still like the "peeled eel" dress better incidentally but I love this scene.

ah this scene is so magical. her dress is gorgeous, I always loved Fred and Ginger more in this film, Flying Down to Rio, Barkleys and Follow the Fleet simply because they already knew each other and I didn't have to sit though a tired plot. Thank you for cutting Irene Dunne's screeching er singing.

3:00 holy mackerel, i will have to try that, jumping up 3 steps and spinning around backwards, while wearing high heels!! well as soon as i get a job that provides medical insurance... Somewhere i read that ginger had the talent of making dancing with fred look like the most enchanting heavenly thing in the world... while he was really demanding & perfectionist and his partners had to work 110% just to keep up!!
-
That's true talent. Why don't we have these sorts of movies nowadays? All we have is the same recycled gore/torture/sex movies.

i always look at the guy behind when they are singing xD he seems to enjoy the scene :P
Ginger "I thought you wanted to marry me"
Fred "Well yeah..."
Ginger "Well, I accept"
Fred "Oh, well Thank you very much!"
:D :D :D Awesomee
