These are nice little tools. One thing I want to point out is that you really only want to get the part tacked and then get the magnets away from the heat. Heat will degrade a magnet. If you leave that magnetic clamp there while you weld out the parts, it will start to loose its magnetism. Different magnets are rated for more or less heat but I don't know of any that will continuously handle the temps metal will get to for welding. So, get it tacked and get the jig off if you want it to last.

That jokes pretty good. I may like it better than the mail plane joke.

That's a neat little tool!

These are so cool! I ran down to my local tool place the next day. They didn't even know they existed (and they're a StrongHand dealer!!). :(
Looking for a Canadian distro that stocks them now... sigh...

Very cool review thanks.
I have a little question maybe you can help me with. I'm making a metal pitch pine tree, and I wanted to tig copper needles to steel stems what filler rod would you recomend .The copper needles are 1/16, and the mild steel stems are 1/8 inch.
Thank you in advance.

I will be buying this tool, thanks.

Awsome. But you're dead wrong. That's something I absolutely positively can't live without......now that I know it exists.

I had read somewhere that neodynium magnets lose most of their magnetism when heated to 300 degrees F.

i like this tool.
silicon bronze filler wire will do the trick. you may not even need filler rod if you can clamp the copper needles tight.
