Blind tasting can be a humbling experience. Now I do not drink Mouton Rothschild every day, much less once every six months. I do taste it once a year, at least, but not much more. So when I was invited by Philippe Dhalluin, the talented winemaking director at the château - who also directs winemaking at the celebrated Napa Valley vineyard Opus One and the Chilean wine Almaviva, among others - I was in for a 'treat'. Six wines blind from six different vineyards, and vintages varied. I just barely got one correct: the Mouton. But it was fun to do this!
Blind Tastings are dangerous! :O. If you are French!
