@eaewan I always felt like The Book of Mormon on the surface seems like just a profane, dirty musical that has no merit, but that is the power it has as satire. Throw in some truly brilliant comedic performances by the elders and a honestly touching portrayal by Nikki James as Nabulungi, it comes out as a show with surprising intelligence and heart. But by no means am I putting down Sister Act, which has a completely different agenda, as a pure entertainment.

@yelanates Really Avenue Q closed on broadway, but still runs off-Bway. When I saw the Book of Mormon, it was one of the best times I've had in theatre and I'm really excited to see how well it was received by critics and audiences. I do wish that I had a chance to see Sister Act (I tried to get tickets at the booth, alas no luck), so I'm glad I have at least the videos and a tour to look forward too!

@eaewan My personal choice for Best Musical this year was Scottsboro Boys, but I agree that Sister Act is a whole hell of a lot better than Book of Mormon. Book of Mormon is funny, just like Avenue Q and Spamalot...both of which have closed. Sister Act has a better story, a comparably good score, and is just over all more entertaining.

Truthfully...this is better than Book of Mormon and will be playing for years around the country. It has heart. Why the theater isn't full every night is a shame. I LOVE IT!!!!!
