  • They never give you enough room to write. I you need a little help...hey, be my pleasure.

  • @divie137 Hello Divie, thanks a lot ofr your comment. And sorry about the lateness, this time we don't have a lot of time to go to the internet...

About the solo I just (try to) play the original solo by Deep Purple... add a lot of mistackes and you can get my result !

  • @ColaFreeway Oh yeah, one more thing. While I was just learning this solo it was reduced speed of 30 percent. After I had it memorized well enough, it was 20 percent. This happened pretty quick. Then it has taken me almost all of the 3 years to get that next 10 % built up. And honestly, I may never get fast enough to play the same speed they play it at. I may not have the natural talent. But, don't give up and take pride in your personal progress. You do pretty good so far.

  • @divie137 Of couse you're right. Yet I'm sure you're doing it very well !! I have never been a technical guitarist... I prefer work on composition, lyrics and feelings, so it doesn't really matter to me if I do mitackes for some solo... And fuck the natural talent, just play guitar, you're the best in your own style. What about put a few videos on youtube ?

  • @ColaFreeway Another way is not to play it note for note. Just come up with something easier to play in those parts that are tough. It may not be the same as Deep Purple but it would sound good and be your own style. Our lead player does this often not that he isn't fast enough, he just doesn't want to take the time to learn it note for note. But what he does play fits well and sounds perhaps better that Deep Purple and probably close to the same speed.

  • @divie137 Oh yeah don't worry it's what I do... I rarely play original solo I prefer play what I want... I just did it that way on that videos cause actually it was our first videos and it was a trial...

  • wow no drummer

  • damn your singer is pretty great!

  • @ColaFreeway The 1st thing is make sure you have it right. Then practice a lot. This solo lead is not easy but it's not too bad either. I have practiced that for about 3 years now and still have to reduce the speed by 10 percent to play it perfect. Don't give up. This one takes time to build the speed. But, it is much more important to play it right than to play it fast. And if you can't play it fast enough to perform, don't perform that one until you get a little faster.
