Responses to Pro-Abortion Politicians: Government Too Involved

This is the fourth in a series of responses to pro-abortion politicians. In this spot, Fr. Frank answers the argument that "the government should not be involved in a personal decision like abortion."
Our response: The government got "too involved" in abortion when it claimed to have the authority to deprive some human beings of their right to life. The Declaration of Independence asserts that government exists to secure the rights already bestowed by the Creator. Moreover, when somebody's "choice" destroys somebody else's life, that choice is no longer merely a personal, private matter.

Government didn't gave people the right to abortion.

Everyone had it (universal rights) and governments all over the world felt the need to regulate. In countries in which policies are heavily influenced by relions usually abortion is illegal and female deaths due to pregancy are many times higher.

Regulation is good. Making it illegal is bad.
