@texasB666 we still can't offer a good model of how to run a society without these faults, some people say anarchism is an option although i personally doubt it. reason, rational thinking and education are relatively new to mankind and we still haven't used its full potential. no offence, but i think your approach serves those who want to gain power, believe me, the world today is not such a bad place, it could have been worse, and it will be better.
@texasB666 today's wars are a child's game in comparison with those of ancient history, the term genocide wasn't even exit. genocide was simply the standard. poverty and diseases of today don't even resemble those of the past, that sometimes wiped out up to 50% of a country's population. if something is wrong today (poverty, concentration of power in elites, wars etc) it's because we don't know yet how to fix it.
@texasB666 well, i know i live in a democracy because that's the official definition, do i like it? am i enjoying this democracy? do i feel free? do i feel that i live in a justice society? there are no yes or no answers to these questions. today's democracies are not perfect, but they are far better than all ruling systems of the past. if you look back to history (last 500 years to be precise) you actually see that so many has changed in so many fields.
@bellijklh We were always inflicted with the religious thing so lets not waste our time with that. There have been safe havens, but the arrogance we don't want to admit is that for thousands of years we are still driven by male-dominated ideals. The problem is power. Plain and simple. Look into our history and present. things haven't changed much (except for technology) Do you think we live in a democracy? Or do you feel like we are living in a democracy?
@texasB666 i was actually referring to the past, you said "for thousands of years...", so if we go back 2000 or 3000 years ago, what ideologies seem wrong to you (religion?) and what alternatives do you think we have for democracy?
@bellijklh Well, it depends what you want to call this current system/idiology. Call it what you want: Democracy, capitalism, fascism etc... I know something is wrong and i don't like it.
@usergreg1498 ... simply was the best vid i'd seen. WTC 7 still is the key. Lots of people are starting to believe Isreal is behind it all. Its good speculation. The thing i find the most frustrading is that for thousands of years this world is opporated by ideologies i can no longer support. You know why Peace is so hard in this world? Its simply not profitable. thats it man. take care of yourself and comment me back if you please. Cheers from Belgium.
