Thank you for your comment! i guarantee it is very easy to hop on and off this sofabed! we had it in our studio loft and all the people who tried never mentioned anything about this subject! the sides are not too wide and they are soft so no problem. When on display this sofabed got sold at no time! The problem you have suggested may happen with sectional sofa beds but our wonderful companies already provided a solution by allowing a gap in between elements for easier use.
