  • What is that green tank besides the engine? It appears to be tied into the exhaust or something like that.

  • Its an old propane tank that i am using as an expansion tank to help muffle the exhaust it reduced the noise by about 30%. Since this video i have changed the exhaust and now it goes straight through the expansion tank/propane tank and into a 2 1/2" muffler and out the back wall instead of going out the roof. On the outside i have it run down to a 10' length of 4" Pvc that is necked down to 2" on both ends with a 45 Degree elbow on the very end. Under 3/4 load you can't hear it runing @ 40'

  • Hello,

Did you add the box and meter on top of the ST generator head? Did you add Auto Voltage reguator also

The units Gotts marine has listed now don't have as nice of a paint job, did you buy the unit in early 2007?

  • The box and meter came with the gen head. It is a indian head and it got it from gotts cove as well. I did buy it early 2007 and I just did a little change up with the paint. All of the green paint is original.

  • Where did you buy this rig at and what was the cost? Also, have you tried to run WVO through it?

  • I bought the engine and generator head from Gotts cove marine in Maine. The frame and base I made myself. I have not run this setup on WVO yet but many others are running this engine on it. It is a very candidate for WVO.

  • @douro20 Nope. Not on the low RPM listeriods. There are some various government studies on that. They apparently even do well on WVO without it being heated. Unlike the higher rpm diesels do.

  • The only problem with WVO is that you have to take off the head every few months and decoke the engine...

  • Waste Vegetable Oil

  • What does WVO mean?

  • what is the specific fuel consumption for these Listeroids? For $595 I can buy a 6.5 hp Lister-Petter.Arent they super efficient?
