I have jetted a few wells in the deep south with success. So can you. The jetting rig can be made for under a hundred dollars. After the initial cost of the rig you can jet in and install as many hand pump wells as you want for under a hundred dollars each. Hand pump shallow wells can provide a safe drinking water supply. Lack of safe drinking water can cost you your life.

  • If you don't already have water available, in order to jet a well.. Would you the metal pipe, and a fence post pounder and pound one in the ground?

  • @Briansgarage That would not be called jetting, but installing a drive point. Lowes also has drive points. I paid 75 dollars for one once, because I didn't know that lowes had them for 35. I have never had much sucess with one. You must constantly be tightening the joints between each piece of pipe before hitting it, so using a fence post pounder wouldn't be the best way to install one. A sledge hammer would allow you to keep turning the pipe with a pipe wrench between strokes. Need 2 people

  • How did you know where to drill?

  • @GrayEagle48 Where I live if you plant a tree you hit water.

  • Another great Thanks!!! I hope to start mine as soon as I finish "jealous of SNC'c porch" porch!!!

  • @jeffgail99 Greatest porch in the world. Even has it's own cookstove, and toilet.
