First game of the season and considering we had no warm-up matches or practices we did well to get the job done. 2-0 win, goals to Sam and Nick (penalty).
After thinking we were going to be short players we had enough for 3 subs and with 3 more returning for next weeks game we had to cut 2 players from the squad. Sorry fellas.
Big ups to all the boys and a solid effort with the whistle by Rangi which included 3-4 minutes of solid abuse when he awarded the penalty. While the first tackler may have got the ball the other 2 afterwards didn't get close and took out Sam who still had a chance to get to the ball so really it could have gone either way.
