Sandomierskie wiadomości z 2 marca 2009. Teatr Ognia i Szermierki Historycznej "Skorpion" chce podbić publiczność nowymi inscenizacjami. The group curently emphasize the stage fencing more than the historical sword-fighting because it looks better. Sabre slashes look dangerous even though they are staged. Performers decided to wear stylized Cossack clothes from the baroque period. Poi spinning is spectacular, too. The game originated with the Maori people of New Zealand and was developed by the women. Fire poi juggling can be watched on the Old Town in Sandomierz quite often, but the Fire and Historical Fencing Theatre wants to make it a larger event. Shows will start in Spring and the first great Fire Festival will be performed in the Summer.
