LSC-Kingwood (http://kingwood.lonestar.edu), ANCOP USA (http://www.ancopusa.org/) and Humble-Kingwood Fil-Am Foundation (http://www.hkfilam.org) celebrated Philippines Day with traditional food, crafts and dance. Students who participated in last spring's Geology Study Abroad/Service Learning with Gawad Kalinga (http://www.gawadkalinga.org) were on on hand with poster presentations to share their experiences. Dr. Linda Stegall, president of LSC-Kingwood, was honored for her support of the local Fil-Am foundation and of the system's first international service learning venture. - June 12, 2008.
