VEGAS GLITTER: ANN-MARGRET "RESCUE ME" (1977)

[Please read] "Annie" takes on the 1965 Chess-label single by Fontella Bass and gives it her own inimitable Vegas-vixen treatment!

First video of two linking Ann-Margret with her show-biz "mentor" George Burns (1896-1996). Clips in this video derive from the George Burns TV Special "The George Burns One-Man Show" (1977).

From the late 1960s through the early1980s, Ann-Margret was the top-drawer and top-drawing female entertainer in Las Vegas. She also toured with her act extensively and successfully.

This video's show number features "Annie," excitingly, in her veteran Vegas prime. It was choreographed by Walter Painter.

Additional music bookending this video: excerpts from the song "Jim Dandy" [Lincoln Chase], recorded by Ann-Margret for RCA on April 20, 1962.

i lived in las vegas back in the day and worked for a pool company to make a long story short i cleaned ann-margarets pool so i saw her in a bikini and less many times ok you got me i never been to vegas and i never cleaned a pool in my life and i only seen ann-margret on tv and movies

I saw her in Branson, MO last year in June doing this same number. Still on target and still great. I was front row and she took that boa and put it in my lap...I had to give back the boa but I still have my feathers....

Great comment, pal. At her 2003 MGM Grand opening-night gig in Vegas, I, too, could vouch for her ongoing commitment to great showmanship. I sat three seats away from her friend Bo Derek.
