Donnerubin DC Dressage Stallion standing in NZ. He is a double cross of the mighty Dressage Stallion Donnerhall - argueably the greatest Dressage Stallion of all time, out of a Dam who is from a Rubinstein mare. His lines also include Akzent II, Wenzel I (close relative of Weltmeyer) and Lortzing.
This is his first season to stand at stud and bear in mind that in this video clip he is only 2yrs 10 months old, the equivalent to a 12yr old child, so he has alot of growing to do yet. You can see the start of his soon to be extravagant movement when he is bigger and stronger, the video shows his already obvious workmanlike nature and obediance (yes all those transitions on the lunge are by voice command including halt!), he is intellent and incredibily level headed for a young horse let alone a serving young Stallion. I got the link to here from the article in the bulletin today, and the video is amazing. I am constantly reminding my Mother to watch this video and I want to use him to our Dynamit/Distelfink mare for a next seasons foal. He looks like a lovely stallion and incredibly well natured. Cant wait to see him under saddle and the offspring he produces.
