  • Cool clip! Is that an arcellinid? The orange brown looks very much like a test but it's a little hard to tell from the clip...

  • It's Difflugia, probably D. oblongata. The test is more or less out of the picture. I have dozens more clips but selected this one because it showed the pseudopod nicely.

    I'll look for a clip of Arcella, I'm sure I have some, and post it later.

  • Right! Difflugia, hence the name of the clip, Diff 14. Heh, forgot about them. I've not really paid much attention to amoeba in a while. Ciliates are more my thing

    I always look forward to seeing new clips of yours. I seem to gravitate to my scope more often...
