Enjoy all that Saugatuck has to offer from the comfort of our beautiful condominium! We are located on Water Street right across the street from the Star of Saugatuck Paddleboat and the River Market (perfect for picking up a picnic lunch or morning coffee!) Our condo has views of the river from the front porch and from the second floor deck. Enjoy the endless parade of boats along the river from either our front porch or second floor deck, or stroll just 200 feet down Water Street and relax (or fish!) at the waterfront park! We are a five minute drive to Douglas Beach and Oval Beach on Lake Michigan! We are very near many places in town to dock your boat, such as Ship n Shore, Singapore Yacht Club and Coral Gables, or you can launch it right across the street from our condo at the public boat launch in Saugatuck. Kayak, scooter and bike rentals are available right across the street (we have several bikes available for use in our garage as well).
Our condo is extremely spacious and decorated as a Tommy Bahama island retreat! The very best thing about our condo, in addition to its location and the really fun decor throughout, is that we have three large and very private bedroom suites, each with full bathroom. The first floor includes a guest suite with queen bed, TV/DVD, full bath with shower, and full-size washer/dryer. The third floor includes the master bedroom suite (king bed and TV/DVD) and another complete guest suite (queen bed). Each has a full bath (the master has a bathtub/shower and the guest suite has a shower). This ensures plenty of privacy for each guest!
The second/main floor is an open-floor living space with bamboo floors throughout. The living space has two seating areas (large sectional as well as two leather chairs) and fireplace, TV and DVD player. The sofa pulls out into a queen sleeper, and there is an adjacent chaise lounge (this works really well as a sleeping area for kids, depending on the number in your party). There is one deck off the front living space with bistro table and chairs, and one deck off the rear kitchen with chaise lounge and patio chairs. This main floor also includes a dining area with a large dining table and six dining chairs (there are extras in the garage), a full kitchen with bar seating for three, and guest bath. The kitchen includes all modern appliances plus slush machine, popcorn popper, popsicle trays and more, and REALLY nice linens, grill tools, table service and barware.
There is parking located behind the condo with a dedicated space for our unit at the foot of the garage; there is also a lot of free street parking right in front of our condo on Water Street. There is a front yard where kids (or adults!) can play, and two parks located within several blocks of our condo, as well as tennis and basketball courts.
Whether you are coming to town for a family reunion (we host ours every year on the 4th of July, which is why that week is blocked!), quiet getaway, girls' spa weekend, mens' golf weekend, or vice versa (girls like to golf...), you will be really comfortable and have a great time here. Last year my aunt even used it for her girls' weekend and brought eleven friends -- a little tight, but they all fit! We have a guestbook highlighting all area attractions, as well as our own recommendations on the best places to visit!
We provide DVDs, CDs, and games for kids and adults. The garage is stocked with bicycles, outdoor games, beach chairs, beach toys and an electric air pump -- good for the beach toys! We furnished this condo as we did our main home, because we spend lots of time here and want it to be nice! We think you will love the Tommy Bahama, as we like to call it, as much as we do!!
