Well, Paul de Leeuw was just straight to the point, how it should be. One of the best dutch comentators of eurovision ever, straight to the point, funny and knows what he talks about. Together with the fellow dutchmen of Cornald Maas and Willem van Beusekom the three best eurovision comentators ever. The bad commentators Daniel Dekker & Jan Smit can learn from this.

Christians should learn to take a joke. If God opposes, some bush will burst into flame. Otherwise, you can choose to not be offended, you know...

I LOVE PAUL !!! WE LAUGHED OUR ASSES OFF !!! DAMN paul was right about his comment and the way that woman was looking in the camera! for me the most stupid song ever on esc !

Great Joke, I really like the joke. It was yuck in 1995. Lot of songs were bad. And It's a nice protest against that. But that he'll slap them, I don't like thát! :o

I like his views. And I completely support his (joke?) comments on this song. First off: I think it was YUCK indeed. Paul you made me giggle. As usual. You cheeky fuck ;)
Second: @DanielHoz: You ALWAYS want dignity and respect. I think you have had enough respect after 50 years. Yes it was horrible and you've been through a lot (the Jewish people that is) but stop using it for other purposes than remembering the people who died during WWII.

He cant stand the light ;)

I definitely don't see this as a joking matter. Especially after what our country went through after WW II. Saying we act "like Christians" and wanted sympathy votes is just wrong. I think, we, as people, have as much right to be in Europe as you do. Not just because we're European, but because I think that if you let Cyprus, which is not only in the Middle East, but also on the Asian continental plate, we deserve the same treatment. I just think that overall, he should have shown some dignity.

Vervolg:
Oh, Pocket-bibles are being hand out to the audience. I think the entire Binnendijk dynasty (red: a famous Dutch t.v.-preacher) is jubilating insane on the table.
It's disgusting. Whatever, it's all fine. Oh, they're hugging each other. It's a sticky bunch of... First of all I... I'm going to slap them! I'm going to tell them I think it's a repelling song.
Guys, you watch Malta by yourself, i'm going to go...

I don't always agree with Paul, but this time he was right. This was such a tacky sugarsweet attempt to get votes. It makes me puke also.
I remember, we watched this Eurovision on the Dutch tv because we were are Dutch friends that night. We were all shocked by him, but now I find it actually kind of funny, since it was al a set-up.
Dit weet ik nog, we keken dit festival bij Nederlandse vrienden en dus ook met dit commentaar. We schrokken allemaal erg van dit stuk, maar nu vind ik het best wel grappig, vooral omdat het allemaal opgezet spel was.

At the end Paul de Leeuw did not say "Guys, I'm going to Malta, I am gone", but "Lady's and gentleman, watch Malta, I am gone" ("dames en heren, kijk maar naar Malta, ik ga weg").
Paul de Leeuw doesn't mean this seriously, this are his kind of jokes. I don't like it.
By the way, Liora - Amen is a really good song in my opinion. I really love it!
