Drag strip, she don't blow!
On the street, she looks dope!

I can't believe I found this. I have this single somewhere, I think. My mom worked for Hurst Performance back then and the single was also a promotion for the Hurst floor shift. It's mentioned in the song. I played this song a lot on our turntable.
However, I thought it was a cheaply done song. I started liking the Beach Boys at that time, and the Little Deuce Coupe album put these guys to shame.

Having owned many a "Tiger", I can state with pride the lyrics are true! I've shut down every rival engine in the song with my 65 389 tri-power GTO! Some of me old Goats actually got "frame twist" from the Torque of these Poncho engines!!! They only left out the 4th gear rubber screeh on the record..too bad! LOL!

Where can I find lyrics to this song?

GeeTO Tiger, P.O. Box 456G, 196 Wide-Track Blvd., Pontiac Michigan."
Someone threw a 1965 "Popular Hot Rodding" magazine on my desk, and this was in it.

"If you want a taste of what it's like to own a GTO, or if you already own one and like to lullaby yourself to sleep in style, send 50¢ (60¢ in Canada) for the swingingest record you ever heard. On one side there's The Big Sounds of the GeeTO Tiger-your chance to ride shotgun with a top Pontiac test driver as he puts the GTO through its paces at the GM Proving Ground. And on the flip side, the hit that's sweeping the country: GeeTO Tiger! Man, that's tiger talk. Send your half dollar to:

This song puts you right into the 1960s hot rod music. Great lyrics and rhythm!

Great record, now if we only still had our 69 camaro!
Sorry, I don't know if the lyrics are out there or not.

Randy, Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for sharing the memories. I can probably post the flipside for you when I get a chance. I used to have the picture sleeve, but traded it away some time ago.
