  • It would sound better in C if it wasn't pitch shifted, because it's petty awesome but very obviously doctored

  • @tart9 Well ye you know, I don't have a studio in my house so it's kinda difficult record quality tracks lol

  • He just pitch shifted the recording. If the original recording was redone with the guitars tuned a half step up, it wouldn't sound that much different assuming the production was the same.

  • @danbobdavis Indeed. You have to consider that even the drums are lower, so it makes everything completely different. But that's the fun part, i guess lol

  • damn this shit sounds more intense tuned to c . did you record this your self or you just pitch shifted the original ?

  • @MrMasterRhythm No no, I just pitch shifted to original!

  • The riffs are not all that great at this tuning. But, for some reason, the drums sounds amazing in this key.

Anyway it's way better in D,cause i can only listen to the genuine song but okay why not...

  • Vocals sound cool, but the guitars sound worse. I still prefer standard D tuning for death metal where chords still growl and don't sound muddy. Drop C makes some lower range stuff easier while retaining the G and C strings in D tuning.

I don't know why everyone talks about these super low tunings where its all muddy string flop and chords that have no punch. I can appreciate wanting lows higher up the neck to make heavy tech riffs less of a reach, but theres a point where its too low.

  • sounds brutal

  • is it just me or the growls are more brutal in this tuning?

  • THIS "NEW ALBUM" TURNS THE NEW CHINESE DEMOCRACY...

  • @xesior This is not a drum machine, this is Hannes Grossmann.

  • @Emaniac69 Its less drum-machine this way...

  • suicmez's voice does sound epic when lowered 1 octave

  • @broncofan92slay lets hope so. dammit, waiting for jari to put out the new wintersun album, waiting for necrophagist to put out a new album, waiting fo metallica to put out a decent album since 20 years...

  • @givemeajackson he sure takes his time to put out a new album but it's worth all the waiting
