I've studied gnostic and new age teachings for years before Jesus took over my life. The ideas and concepts in The Shack are not new. Using the 'Holy Spirit' to tell lies is like the biggest no-no in the Bible. Please pray for the Holy Spirit to reveal whether the teachings in The Shack are true or not. There is no 'secret knowledge/wisdom' to know God. To know God you must turn your life over to Jesus. Its not WHAT you know, its WHO you know. That's Christianity. Gospel not in The Shack once

Very poor points. Only a few of these hold any water whatsoever. Multiple times listening to this, I heard things that Youssef claims to be in The Shack that are never mentioned.

If you could just take care of your own life, helping your comunity, you would be happier and more close to realize gods plan on earth, wich is somewhere that we can experience god in so many ways...just look at the stars, if you still don't belive in god there is no book on the universe that can make you think about it!....we are eternal students walking towards perfection.

the fact that the book is labeled "fiction" is irrelevant. the author could have written a book that did not contradict scripture. i understand that this book is inspirational, but we are not called by God to be inspired. we are called to glorify Him.
