the ring is made of a completely steel frame, covered by pine 2X8 boards, covered by a half inch of padding. the ropes for most indy companies are steel cable with a very thin padding, wwe's are real rope. the chairs are real, the tables are real. i honestly would respect a professional wrestler more than an mma fighter. an mma fighter gets months between fights, professional wrestlers get only a few hours between shows, in mexico only a matter of minutes.
