I remember TV guide commented that it seems Christopher Atkins just couldn't keep his clothes on in Dallas as he was practically naked in The Blue Lagoon.

Sue Ellen wasn't after Peter. She was happy that someone took an interest in John Ross and flattered that Peter found her interesting.
What happened after this was Peter kissed her because he had fallen in love with her. It freaked her out, and she quit taking John Ross to camp. (Peter wasn't Sue Ellen's type, even for just an affair.)
Anyway, Peter confronted her and she said get lost. He got depressed and dropped out of college. Sue Ellen only slept with him because she felt sorry for him.
