Ok so one day I thought "Hey I want to make an advert" so I set about making this concept video as a bit of fun! One day I might come back to the idea and do this properly but for now I'll let people have a laugh at my weird handiwork!

  • Luma key is the removal of black and white - make it transparent

Chroma key is the removal of a specific colour

  • This is gnarly

  • Yeah, me too.

  • chroma key is keying out green, blue, red

were luma key key's out darker so you dont need perfect light

  • Where do i get Luma key

  • Luma ('light') is using light as your separation overlay... Thus anything that is unlit should be removed from the composite... In practice it's cheap, ok for light emitting fx such as explosions and model shots for scifi but otherwise very messy.

Chroma uses colour (such as green and blue although any colour can in theory be used) as your separation median, often requires a more professional setup/more money, and not always practicable, but does on the whole look better.

  • i love the music

  • Wow, very creative video! I love the ending.

  • good but i dont get what is happening to the effect, well, with the effect

  • I always enjoy the rather experimental concept videos. It will be interesting to see how this develops when you have your next go at it!
