PEX pipes are ideal for hot and cold water plumbing systems. PEX pipes were originally developed in Europe for heating systems and were quickly adapted for potable water systems. PEX stands for polyethylene thats cross-linked. Its a flexible plastic piping, making it quick & easy to install, eliminating many of the fittings. It can take the high temperatures that are often seen in hot water plumbing systems and the high pressures that you see in residential and commercial plumbing systems. Visit www.ToolBase.org for more information on this and other home building technologies.
