I hacked a dress to make it glow in time with sound. Really should go clubbing with it on some time.

how big is the el wire and how did you attach it to the dress. I found the perfect dress and a website that sells the el wire and driver in a set in a bunch of colors but they vary in length and thickness of the wire. What did you use?

Thanks for the comments! I bought EL wire and a sound driver from Cool Neon. It runs off of a 9V battery. I don't know how long it lasts aside from > 8 hours. Battery and driver pack measures ~ 3.5" x 2.5" x 1.5". They are placed on the back of the dress, which you won't notice much if I'm wearing a jacket. Electronics are removable, so the dress can be washed.
The light doesn't change colors. Its brightness is however controlled by the sound driver that detects ambient sound intensity.
