Apollo 11 25th Anniversary

How many Americans around in 1969 when U.S. astronauts first landed on the moon realize that as Neil Armstrong said in his remarks at the White House, one or two of every 1,000 were involved in the effort to put men on the moon? These are excerpts from the White House ceremony observing the 25th anniversary of the first moon landing on Jan. 20, 1969. Speakers are President Clinton, Vice President Gore and Neil Armstrong, first man to step on the moon. It was the space program that took me to Washington the week President Kennedy was inaugurated, serving as press secretary for the chairman of the Senate Space Committee.

Going to the moon with 1960s technology would have been far easier than faking a lunar landing with 1960s technology! Even 2009 CGI cannot replicate accurately the scientific details we see in those 1969 films and TV images. Soil doesn't behave on earthly soundstages as it does in 1/6 gravity!

Having known several NASA moonwalkers, perhaps the best proof they were on the moon is the change in these men. Men cannot make that trip and stand on the moon's surface looking through space back to our planet without being profoundly changed. And they are. So much for the doubters, none of whom have the guts to ride a spaceship of any kind even just to circle the globe as John Glenn did.

Very interesting, to mind my mind he does not look comfortable at all, the comment to President Clinton is revealing. I am confident that one the following happened - they did go and are sworn to secrecy as to what they found, or the whole thing was a set up and he is struggling with the guilt. Truth's protective layers protective layers comment is another cyrptic clue. As the seem to find a new galaxy every week now -" we are not alone" seems very likely.

@goldenmoleful, you do have a point there, two actually. Also note that they never saw any star when they were on the moon, which is quite odd. Neil Armstrong never wrote a book about this experience, and he never described the awsome feeling on the moon. When I say feeling, I also refer to the extremely high temperatures and radiation. How telling is that statement by Neil also, the only bird that could talk was the parrot, and he didn't fly very well?!? (I'm just parroting back information I'm being told to say), and then he looks back at the President and says don't worry, I won't talk very long! Also the cryptic comments at the end about "removing one of truth's protective layers," does this sound like a man who walked on the moon or who is barely keeping it together?
