I sang some of the piano parts ;). All the voices are mine, without any sort of pitch-adjustment or anything. I only cheated a little on the beatboxing by lowering the pitch and boosting the bass on that a bit (Yeah, I'm not really very good at it). Oh, and please forgive me for faulty notes in the solo, I'm just a lowly bass!

There are a total of about twenty tracks/voices toward the end, and the recording took about two days. This is the first song I've posted, and I'll post more as soon as they're ready.

I used Acoustica Mixcraft to do the recording, mixing, and effects (reverb/echo), and a $20 headset mic to record.

  • Are you American? It said that you were based out of Russia... these are actually really good! Congrats!

  • Originally I'm Russian. American now too. ;)

  • You are NOT just a 'lowly' Bass. We are a proud people. Not everyone can do what we do.

  • Hehe, represent. ;)

  • great work!

what version of mixcraft did you use?

  • V 2.51 right now, but it could've been an older one at the time (this past spring).

  • I'm completely American, 100% (But my brother was born in Italy. it's weird), but you wouldn't believe the respect I have for Russia. I completely hate the stereotypes against other countries. (Especially Russia and the Middle Eastern countries).

I was learning Russian for a while but then I got caught up in music and just stopped..

But I still know a little, so let me set my computer to Cyrillic letters..

    привет and хорошую работу!!

  • dude, invest in a good condenser mic and you should produce more tracks!

  • Just WOW... I was gonna tell you to check out my version of this song but it''s crap compared to this amazing piece of art ^^ great job buddy... =)

  • I really to appreciate the effort you've made to put this up. As a experienced mashupper I can say it's challenging job to put this arrangement together. And of course I liked what I heard!

  • Hello, I'm a French producer of electronic music. I need an acappella version of the scientist for a remix of The scientist - Coldplay. If you want, i can use your accapela in my remix... But i need it in a good version.. mp3 (320kbit) or wav

Can you send me a link where i can download it please ?

Thank you very much. Sorry for my bad english lol

  • @gungnir2357 it's a song by the band Coldplay, called The Scientist, as the title states. One of Coldplay's best, in my opinion.
