Torrontes is a grape that is unique to Argentina but with a heritage that harkens back to the Galicia of Northern Spain. Really aromatic, juicy deliciousness on the palate. I suggest that Torrontes, like Chenin Blanc, will be the break through white grapes of 2010. The La Puerta is a great example of why this wine will be a hit. It is full great aromatics, ripe & juicy palate, clean crisp finish, and... here is the kicker... it is only $14.99. Similar wines approach $20+.
