Dan, you tried; I know you are trying to show case that, we, Sierra Leonean men, can cook. But I can tell you this is so terrible a way to prepare one of our famous dishes. The absence of a "wow" reaction from your young friends should tell you that you are still not up to the task. Get more lessons, my friend. And don't even venture to show how to prepare jute leaves (krain-krain) dish.

This video made me smile. I love to see a man cooking. :)
Give Sammy credit for trying. Most men do not cook in Sierra Leone. His Mom was very proud to hear that he is giving it a try. I've been using sweet bells in my plassas since his suggestion, and find it tastes great.

A few notes: the pepper is from Sierra Leone (dried and ground). There are many versions of cassava leaf, but this is meant to give you a general idea.
