A singer with the Peking Opera, Guan Jinglan, sang an aria telling of the heartache of an Imperial concubine, Yang Yuhuan, who drowns her sorrow in alcohol when Emperor Tang Xuanzong (712-756) spends the night with someone else. She performed at the Thomas Crane Public Library Sunday afternoon, as students and faculty from the Chinese Traditional Music School of Boston presented the music of China
