Humbled by Her Strength

Secondly, I'd like to say I made this audio from scratch. If you'd like to use it, all you have to do is ask! But please don't just steal it, that's really illegal. HAHA.
About a week ago, I got a PM from Cindarellaax3 asking me to make her a goodbye video for her horse. I agreed, of course.
As I read on to hear the story, I was struck by the similarity to one of the horses I had to let go. Ramon was sold from right under her nose without her consent or knowledge. She had been leasing this amazing horse and never expected him him to be sold out of the blue like that. And she wasn't even told by the owner after it happened, she was left in the dark to figure out why she could no longer ride Ramon.
Hearing her situation just shred my heart. I have felt the exact same way 2 or 3 times this year and I know how it feels to have such an important horse ripped out from underneath you. One moment everything is fine and you're dreaming of the future, the next, it takes everything you have to not cry every time you think of them.
The hardest thing is not having a goodbye.
And this poor girl has given up. Something I have not yet had to go through. I respect her decision but truely hope she DOESN'T give up. She is more than what she is going though.
Cindarellaax3, PLEASE don't give up. I know it's hard. I KNOW. I am in the same situation. I go to the barn every day with no horse to ride and no insight into my future, though I have so much to work towards. I don't have any consistant horse or steady ride, but I can't give up, and neither can you. PLEASE don't stop riding. You CAN get through this, I promise. It won't be easy and you'll never let Ramon go. Time doesn't heal your wounds. Time just allows for scars to scab over them. The pain never goes away, you just learn how to pretend it's not there, you learn how to live around Ramon's absence. But you CAN get through it!
Sometimes things happen and we don't know why. But in the end, everything is meant to happen as it does. It may not seem like it now.. but there was a reason to why this happened and you'll be stronger from this experience. But only if you persist. If you give up riding, you've let life knock you down and you've lost. DON'T GIVE UP!
The first part of the video is from my perspective.
"I'm struck by the number of people who are struggling in this world. And as much as that saddens me, I'm also humbled by their strength and the courage they display in the face of their struggles."
I then took Cindarellaax3's perspective in that:
"Letting go is never easy. As athletes, we have an expiration date. And even if our professional careers are substansial, that expiration date comes.. pretty early. Sometimes our.. our hearts are willing, but our bodies say no. And that happens to be the case with me. Because of this, I'll be leaving the game. And I know that some of you may be concerned for me. Concerned that.. my struggle with the fact that my career has been cut short. Today I consider myself the luckiest man on the face of the earth. Some people never get to touch their dreams, never get to know what that feels like. Never get to find that thing they love or get to do it for a living. Is it a tradegy to have that taken away from you? No. The tradegy would be to lie awake at night wondering 'what if'? For those of you who have believed in me once I hope you can believe in me again. For now, I say goodbye to this chapter in my life."
Me: "So for now, I say goobye to this chapter of my life."
Together: "And I look forward to what comes next."
A similar situation between us. I feel her pain, just as many others in this world feel it and understand it. Unfortunately, as horseback riders, we DO have an expiration date. It could be when our bodies finally can't take the abuse anymore, or when our horse gets hurt, or when our horse leaves us. That expiration date can just be when we finally give up. When we quit riding for whatever reason. We ALL have an expiration date. Is it sad to have to come to that date? No, it would be sad to NOT reach it all, to be cut short. Cindarellax3, you have a bright riding future ahead of you and I am sad you've given up on it and sincerely hope you'll reconsider. There's so much more for you, I promise! You have to say goodbye to this part of your life and look ahead to the next.

Wow, this is so beautiful. I can't even describe how stunning and incredible this video is. You and Cindarellaax3 are both so strong, because letting go of something you love is so hard to do.
