This is my first HF review featuring their 4"/6" disc sander. With a coupon on the right day you can snag it for around 55 dollars. For the price, it is very handy for a hobbyist or home shop.

  • Can you put the large platform that is infront of the disk sander on the belt sander. I see a hole below the belt?

    Thanks

  • @tjobrienRC As far as I know you can move it to the belt. Yep.

  • hook that up to a little shop vac and away it goes!!

i have a 5 gallon bucket size shopvac on my little bandsaw and there is very little it doesn't pickup!

get at least a 10" bandsaw, mines a 9" and it will not cut 4" thick material. won't go under the guide!!

    great review!!!!!

  • @psychodelicdragon Yeah, the shopvac is a great idea. Where did you get one that small? How much did it cost?

  • @Parksart ive got a 9" bandsaw and i got it from harbor freight for about 90 bucks. it was on sale, plus a 20 percent off coupon. works good, except it says it has a 1/2 blade capacity... this isnt true. put a timberwolf blade on it and it rubbed on a metal guide, plus the thrust bearing on the back of the blade comes too close. so next time, ill just play it safe and buy a 3/8" blade.

  • thanks for the review, for the price its a cool tool to have.

  • We've made Chinese machine tools the norm but they are not. We've compromised quality in the things we buy & so we get cheap machines then wonder why they don't last. Sherline is another piece of junk mainly because the quality they put into them is no different than the Chinese and they are too small.

If you really want to know true American creativity, type in: Impetus-Metalmaster Lathe in google .there is not even an ounce of it in Sherline or any other machine made today. so sad.

  • Harbor freight, grizzly, or any other machine made in China are basically junk. it is an utter disgrace that machine tools once made in the US like Clausing, Rockford, Atlas, and others, are no longer made yet the quality they had was far better than Chinese made machines. By today, you would think our machine tools would not only still be made in the US but surpass the quality of what we had created after WWII

I would NEVER buy Chinese. I'm better off buying an old US machine & restoring it.

  • can i order this from harbor freight to finland and how much the shipping would cost? im too lazy to read it from the HF cuz my english sucks a**

  • good video. can you sharpen knives with that?

  • Thanks bro i do need one for bow making
